May 27, 2019, Beijing –Total Road Safety Training Camp, an event designed to raise road safety awareness held by Total China, entered into Xingzhi Experimental Primary School, Haidian District, Beijing and delivered road safety training to nearly 200 students.

Meanwhile, Total Road Safety Training Camp and China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation will jointly build disaster relief training facilities for national level poverty-stricken counties in an effort to strengthen campus safety education.
“In the light of increasingly complex road traffic, children’s road safety has become an issue drawing the attention of the whole society that is also closely associated with every family. As a responsible company, we’re obliged to create a safer road traffic environment for children, popularize road safety knowledge and concepts, and improve the sustainable development of society.”said William Zhao, Chairman of Total China, “Safety is an integral part of Total’s DNA and is also one of our core values. Total’s long-term commitment to children’s road safety is a reflection of such value.”
2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the Total Road Safety Training Camp program. In order to make the program even more professional, Total made a sweeping improvement to the safety training content. By introducing VR-empowered immersed road safety experience devices and combining safety knowledge and outdoor games, the students are given better interactive experience, leading to a better result of education.
This year, the program receives strong support from Beijing Municipal Traffic Safety Communication and Education Base. “Our road safety education lacks the programs specifically designed for children, the textbooks are obsolete and plain, and lectures given by professionals are not enough, ”Cao Min, deputy head of Lecturer Group of Beijing Municipal Traffic Safety Communication and Education Base said, “Total Road Safety Training Camp just fills this gap. In the past decade, Total has played an exemplary role by actively participating in Children’s road safety education programs.”
Since 2010, Total China has been holding Total Road Safety Training Camp for 10 consecutive years, during which 160 entertaining road safety knowledge lectures in 17 cities were delivered, increasing road safety awareness of over 13,000 children. In addition, Total is also committed to spreading road safety knowledge to the general public through social media and other digital platforms.
